Lake Encino is 15-20 acres depending on water level. Like most south Texas lakes, the size varies depending on yearly rain fall. We have seen the lake as small lake 8 acres in the drought and as large as 23 acres when flooded. There are some large trees throughout the lake and water to 22 feet. Red Ear Sunfish, Coppernose Bluegill are the primary food source. Lake record bass in 10.5 lbs . There is not an improved boat launch, but the ground is hard and launching boats up to 17 feet from the emergency spillway should not be a problem.
