Adding Habitat to PWF Lakes

Date Posted: 2/4/2016
Great habitat is one of the 5 keys to growing bass. The other 4 are water quality, food chain, genetics and harvest. Typically, we add structure to create habitat. This generally comes in two forms: an artificial product called Mossback Fish Attractors, or trees like Eastern Red Cedars. Mexico Bass Fishing

Date Posted: 7/15/2015
We are off again to Mexico for a little fishing, but this time we have changed it up a little. 16 of us are going on a 5 day trip, as opposed to a typical 3 or 4 day trip. Why 5 days? Quite frankly, it is a much better value. Fishing for 3 days is $1595, while fishing for 5 days is $2195. Please note that this is your trip, and if you want to rest one afternoon or quit a few hours early, you are welcome to do so. After all, fishing is meant to be fun! We…

Peacock Bass Fishing

Date Posted: 7/15/2015
September of 2014 fourteen of us made the trek to Manaus, Brazil to fish for the famous Peacock Bass. After 7 days of fishing, we landed over 700 fish with 51 over 10 lbs, 15 over 15 lbs, and 3 over 20 lbs. We are headed back again during a similar time frame. I booked this trip 18 months ago, thus I could choose any date I wanted as I was the first booking for 2016. The week I chose, September 23rd to October 2nd 2016,  has been the most consistent week each year for more than 20+ years. Ron…

Thailand: Spicy Food, Elephants, and Giant Fish In mid June, my extending family and I (10 of us) took a vacation to Thailand. I had more curry, vegetables, and spicy stuff in 2 weeks than I normally would over the course of a year. We spent 3 days in Bangkok (17 million people), 5 days in the jungle area of Chaing Mai, and 5 days on a…
