My First Adventure To Culpepper Farms, What A Beautiful Property
Hit The Water A Sunrise To Glass Like Conditions, Myst Rolling Over Surface And Awesome Sunrise.
Not Much In The Way Of Vegitation On The Lake, But Started Out With A Frog Heading Towards The Islands
Boated A 2LB And Had A Couple Of Blow Ups.
Switched To Under Spin An Started Working My Way From Islands Around The Lake ShoreLine
Trying To Keep The Underspin In 4 To 6 Foot Depth, Didn’t Get Much Interest On That And Switched To A Lizard
Started Right Away With Several Culls And Loosing The Tails Off Of Lizards From Them Not Taking The Full Bait
Lost Many That Way Including 2  3&4+ LB Fish  Lost Near The Dam Area.
This Never Changed So I Changed To A NED Rig And Started Boating More Of Them.
Ended Up With 17  Over Culls,    2 3lb+ Were My Largest And A Few 2’s & 1’s.. 17 Culls And 1 Large Crappie.
Caught Lots Of Fish But The Number Of Dinks Was A Little Overkill.
Around 15:00 Wind Picked Up, Temp Started Dropping And Rain Moved In So I Ended Up Calling It A Day.
Still Had A Enjoyable Time And I Will Be Back Out Here..
”Note To Club”
With The Lack Of Vegitation On Culpepper It Would Surely Help To Drop Some Strategically Placed Brush Piles
In The 6 To 8 Foot Areas InThe More Open Area’s Of The Lake, Just My Opinion To Help Attract These Fish To The Cover.…

Take Care Ya”ll & Tight Lines.

Glad you got out there. It is a good lake and laid out nicely. Those geese are something else, lol. It is a turbid water so not going to be much veggie, has good hard fighting fish, with an occasional good one. Nice sunrise pics!
