Fellow member John Shepard and I arrived just before noon and were greeted by Mr. Ernie, Raymond, and some of their friends. Thanked Mr. Ernie for allowing us to fish his ranch!

Started fishing Golden Pond out of the smaller jon boat but action was slow with bluebird skies and almost no wind. Caught a few before moving to LR.

Fished out of the bigger jon boat on Raymond and had a bit more action as the wind started to pick up and bring with it scattered clouds till 6pm, when the bite died. Fish were holding on the dropoffs and suspended in the middle of the tank. Tried our best with a varity of presentations but our only consistant action was had on the ned rig (hats off to Al Burns for his advice)! Tried topwaters after sunset on all three tanks with zero action.

Caught 25 lmb dinks to 15.5” (culled 15). Water temp was 75f with highest water clarity on GP (5ft) and least on TD. Saw Raymond at the end of the day and informed him that the larger jon boat has a slow leak. 

A slow day for this fine Ranch but a good day none the less!
