Absolute beautiful day to fish. Water 64-67. Good friend and club member Scott Wheeler joined me for the day. Between us we got 30+ bass, no dinks. My smaller fish came on frog on the shore early morning. I decided to put on an underspin swimbait and start working the weed edges that cross the lake in two spots. One by the single sapling and o e by the 4 saplings on south bank shoddy arm. I didn't do well in long arm. Scott got a few down there. Did manage to get a 5-4, 5-5, and a 4-4. Many between the 2.5 to almost 4lb. Nice little lake and weird at the same time. Lake is a large trench with shallower water outside the trench. Not sure is it has an actual dam or which end that might be on. Thanks Scott for taking the pics.
There is some Chara plant in 16ish foot of water that should start holding some fish as it gets warmer, then again not sure how choked lake will get over summertime. Those two ridges of grass will be “speed bumps” for sure.
Tight lines folks!

It Was Good To Get Back Out There With You John
I Enjoyed The Beautiful Day And Your Company As Well.
You Had A Quality Day For Sure, Pretty Constant Throughout
You Found That Bait Those Fish Wanted “Great Job”
I Had A Descent 1st Half, But Couldn’t Manage To Find My Nitch In The Later Part Of The Day.
I Don’t Want To Call It A Slump But I Have Not Been Able To Find The Bigger Fish Yet Or A Full Consistant Day
A Little Dissapointing For Sure.. Maybe I’m Just Getting Old Slow
After 3 Trips in 2 Weeks And 2 More By Saturday..
Well I Have Timber And Double AA Coming Up Maybe I Can Turn This Thing Around And Find My Cast..…
Thanks Again John, Tight Lines Ya”ll
