The day started off great with a 3lb 2oz beauty right off the bat. The weather was awesome, and it is always good to just be out. With that said, it was by far the least productive day I've had at this property. I think this was my 5^th time fishing Shady Grove. 
The thick vegetation limited me to throwing only frogs this time. The lily pads aren't as prevalent as they have been in the past. It is another type of weeds choking up most castable areas. I bet someone with a kayak could get beyond the vegetation, but it will be thick for anyone hoping to cast from the bank. I could see a lot of fish cruising, but the bite was just not there for me today. I ended up landing 4 and missed several who couldn't get lined up with my frog through the vegetation.

I'll be back soon and get on them like I have here in the past. 

I notified the staff that the lock is broken at the gate.
