Mike and I fished Saturday afternoon.  Was beautiful weather to be on the water.  Air temperature was in the 60’s and a rarity, hardly any wind  all afternoon.  Water temperature was 59 degrees when we started out and got up to 64 degrees late afternoon.  Water clarity was 2’ to 3’.  Lake level looked down about 4’ to me, but there is more than enough water to fish.  We caught 26, with the biggest at 6 ½ lbs.  A weighted texas rigged fluke, swim bait and a chatter bait with a tail are what worked best for us.  Quite a few fish were caught close or fairly close to shore all over the lake, but we did catch them out in open water on an extended point and near some brush piles.  All the fish were very healthy.  There is a nice gravel boat ramp that made launching and recovering our two small boats very easy.  And it is a huge lake that is hard to fish all of it in an afternoon, but we gave it a good try.
