I got a late start driving from Dallas and didn't get on the water till 9:00.  Tried a frog over the grass with no luck. Then fished the edge of grass, brush piles, and the dam with weightless fluke and wacky rigged senko. Caught 5 small ones (10in) all around the brush piles.  I wanted to try to catch something with size so I tried punching the grass with a Strike King rodent in black and blue fleck on a ¾ oz weight and caught 2 nice ones about 3 lbs right off the bat in the little pocket on the west side by the ramp.  I tried the east side and caught one that was 4.5 in the grass down by the dam.

I would have liked to have stayed and punched more – I think the big ones are back up in there-but had to run back to Dallas at 2:00.
