Took the day off Tuesday to fish Timber Lake. Glad I did. I was a great day. Started at 6:45 and fished until 5:00 with an hour lunch break. Water temp to start was 65 and by the end of the day it was 71. Started off fishing a fluke and was rewarded with 4 within the first hour. All fish 15 to 16”. What I noticed was that when I threw way up into the grass, I mean almost to the bank, that's when I would get bit. At about 10:45, the water temp was about 67, and I said what the heck, picked up my favorite. White Spro popping frog. My next 24 fish came on the frog! It was epic to say the least. I threw every fish back. They were all mean and fat. Biggest was Just under 6. I was surprised to be catching them this early on a frog but definitely not disappointed! Epic day on an epic property!
