Great experience with this location as the water temperature was warmer than the air when arriving prior to sunrise. There was some early success casting weedless and topwaters towards shore; however, the transition to the timber-focused areas in the lake in two locations yielded the majority of the day’s successes. Texas-style rigged worms and bluegill looking crankbaits that dove more than 8’+ were the key to the success of this lake. Going into the deep parts & dragging over those different areas was where the majority of the fish were that day. Beautiful lake, excellent boat to attach a troll motor, and a great fishing experience. 

Harvested the following: (4) Crappie, (1) Under 14” Bass 

(3) Bluegill all returned to the lake
