Second time fishing this lake and has produced both times.  Easy to get to and very close to Dallas, which is awesome.

Pulled a few off the banks and trees with square bills, chatterbaits, and soft plastics, but caught most our bass from the “floating” grass patches that are just off the banks.  I used a junebug 5.5” paddle tail TX rigged and just threw right in the middle, edges, and all around the grass patches that are off the banks.  Everything we caught was between 1 – 2.5 pounds, nothing big, but with perfect weather and September bass fishing I call it a success.

We did not use the club boat as we brought our own bass buggy.  We used the ramp for that and it was perfect.  Anything larger might have a hard time with the ramp, but still doable.

Vegetation was definitely present, but not bad at all and easily navigated.  Plenty of open water to fish as well.

Only thing that I might attend to is trimming the trees that flank the boat ramp.  Other than that, it’s all good!
