Got there 7:30  a.m tried smaller pond didn't even get a bite considering it looked great , saw some snakes !!!!

went to Large Lake started slow , tried top water frogs and got nothing which I thought was just crazy because it looked so good. Jumped into the boat and started catching , only thing we could get them to hit was a large plastic black and blue worm 12” and blood red 12” worm . All fish were 2-3 lbs and let me tell you they fight like they were 5lbers. We pretty much caught everywhere but the best bites were actually in the middle of the lake . Vegitation was pretty high through just under surface pretty much in most areas. The middle isn't as deep as it looks. All in all pretty good it was our first time out there. Can't wait till it cools off !
