Reservation Number : 33559
Property Name : Culpepper Farms
Reservation Date : 09/02/2022 AM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 10, 5 culls and 5 up to 2.5lbs.
Lures Used : The Entire Tacklebox

Fished the yesterday morning from sunrise to noon shortly after a storm rolled thru the night before.  The water was churned and visibility was less than a foot.  Make a lap around the lake using my standard starting assortment of Popper, Spook, Chatterbait, Jerkbait, shallow diving crank bait and weightless senko.  Caught one dink on a jerkbait next to the boat, but nothing on all other lures.  It’s not often I change out 7 rods at once, but I figured, let’s give it a whirl.  Tried rattle trap, T-rig, ned rig, different crankbaits and wieghtless soft plastics to no avail.  Had the best luck on some new 6th Sense items i picked up, Divine shaky head swim jig with stoker craw.  Caught half culls, half decent fish.  Fun day at a new property.  Big thanks to the PWF staff on putting one of their new boat purchases here; great boat for sure!

It sounds like you threw the tacklebox and with 7 rods I have a feeling you know what your doing. Just one of those days. Culpepper produced 2 of the top 10 bass caught in this years big bass tournament. Maybe next time.

Steve,

Given some of the very aggressive blow ups near the shore, you can tell there are big ones lurking!  Denison had a big storm blow thru the night before, so that certainly didn’t help.  It was fun pulling out a few lures and techniques that I hadn’t tried for awhile.  I still had a great time as always and will be back to search for the big one!
