Fantastic day fishing with my son from sun up to sundown. Lots of baitfish and topwater activities all around but hit nothing we threw for topwater. Switching to shad colored crankbaits caught a few, afterwards; threw plastics and continued to have some luck. All together we ended up catching 29 which is sweet but it was just more awesome spending time with our boy. Lake is low but we managed without difficulty to launch my 15 foot Jon boat. Lake also has about the right amount of grass and the clarity was to 3 feet. Really healthy and feisty fish.
