Lures Used : Senkos and crankbaits

Spent another day fishing Hickory with my son. We released 10 bass and culled 11 fish including 4 crappie. Most fish were caught on senkos with the the largest bass hitting a crankbait. Finished the day off catching bluegill from the dock. We must have caught and released about 40.

Quickly becoming one of the best lakes in the club. This lake is one of the best turnaround stories in club history. 4 years ago, you struggled to catch 1 fish that was 14” or larger. Now you caught more than 40…in July!

My son and I really enjoy this lake. It has been really cool for him to see the culling efforts pay dividends. On the ride home, he told me that Hickory used to be a numbers lake and now it is a numbers lake for big bass.
