Top water baits to start with no bites on whopper Plopper but put a Frog on and started to have luck in the bank grass and structure all around lake. Once the top water bite slowed we moved to swim baits and texas rigs. Continued to catch fish throughout lake on brush piles, grass, trees, and humps. Not a great pattern established but we were catching them all morning junk fishing. Beautiful place and amazing boat to use. Caught about 25-30 with 10 plus missed.

That is an absolute great day on that lake. Did you get any toads that lake has in that in that 30 fish tally? Good job.

The biggest we caught was just under 5 lbs. But had several in the 3-4 pound range. The frog bites were explosive and so much fun. Hard to get much better that a frog bite. The fish were very healthy too for any time of the year but especially for summer, nice size bellys.  Actually caught one that was under the slot by a little but it was so fat and built like a 11 pounder I had to through it back. The genes in that fish were too good to take out!
