I love me some salt lick.

Got out to the lake at about 5:45 am on the water by 6:10 am and could have shown up 30 mins earlier. The water was as clear as ever not sure if it was 10 or 12 feet of viz but you could see a good way down. I started off throwing a frog around the bank. I was getting some blowups but not hooking up so switched to a walking style topwater. I went right from the ramp and worked the bank until I got to the old dam with trees on it. I caught the most fish in the middle of the trees where there is a little ally that spits the trees into two areas. The fish were coming all the way out of the water to smash the top water bait. It was 2 or 3 blow-ups to each hook-up. The bite was steady until about 8:45 am. And I actually caught a few more later in the day on top water but it was 1 here and 1 there.

As the sun got up I switched to a Z Craw Tx Rigged and caught fish all around the lake most of which were close to the brush piles.

These fish have plenty to eat. they are healthy and Fat and pull like crazy.

It was hot and I only made it until 2:00 pm and had to call it a day
