Fished Deer Trail this morning. We got a later start than planned. Caught a few bass right away on frogs, spinnerbait, lipless and swim jig. All were 12-17”. Trolling motor battery started to show that it was not going to last, even though charged. The battery had to pick a windy day to give out, but it caused us to call the day early. My guest & I only fished a couple of hours. This is a beautiful place, though, and I look forward to going back with brand new batteries.
