The weather was as good as it gets,with the wind from 2 to 7 mph, cloudy all morning and the temp starting at 69 & going to 77. The lake is full and clear to 24” with the grass only a few inches below the surface in most places in the lower 60 % and no problem in the upper 40 %. I was aware that there are mostly smaller bass in this lake and many bream so I took a fly rod and two spinning rods & one light action bait caster. Also I pulled out plastics that I have not used for over twenty years.If they did not catch fish they were going to the trash.

I only fished in the morning and caught a total of 80 fish. 54 bass and 26 bream. I immediately started catching bass and bream on a yellow popping bug and continued to catch fih all morning switching from fly rod to spinning rod.Never used anything over 4” . Plastics I used tx rig and wacky. The only color that did not do really well was a 4” black/red tail power bait. 

Removed 51 bass and only 3 were over 14”.
