I went to Malouf to film a quick video with a couple of other guys that are helping us on the marketing front. Once done with that around 2:30 we wanted to see if we could get some catch footage and boy, did we have plenty of catches! From 2:30 – 8:30 we boated over 100 bass among the three of us on the club boat...lots of double ups and a few triple ups made for a very active jon boat.
Caught them everywhere but the most productive area was around the timber on Tx rigged plastics and jigs. The topwater bite was pretty steady as well. We didn’t catch any giants but did have several over 3 and not very many dinks. What really stood out was how chunky they all were, especially for post spawn. We must have had a bumper crop on forage because these bass have definitely been eating well and gaining weight like me 😁. The water also looks perfect, nice green color to it so good and fertile, perfect for supporting forage and growing bass.

100+ fish in 6 hours is quite the haul! Any certain colors of TX rigged plastics or jigs that worked better than others? I’m heading out there in a couple weeks; fished once before at Malouf for an hour before i got blown off. Still caught a couple nice ones, so excited to return.
