Had a great morning at Blackjack.  Overcast skies that turned into heavy rain for about 30 minutes, but no lightning, so we kept on fishing.  Topwater bite was on most of the morning, but wacky worms worked too.  Missed a lot of fish on topwater because they were just slapping at the lures, which resulted in several foul-hooked fish.  The lake is in great shape, but could use a little more water, so the rain is good.  The vegetation is almost perfect – not too much, not too litte.  The ratio of culls seems to be going down (8 of 24), and only one dink, so that shows the harvest management is working.   Largest was 3 lbs, but caught a lot of healthy fish in the 2 lb range.
