Fished Briar branch Saturday by myself from 7:45 to 12:30 at which time it became too windy to stay out  in a kayak. The lake is full with visibility of 24” in the lower end and 36” around the dam. The vegetation is too close to the surface to use a crank bait in the lower end but very fishable with plastics. Caught 17 bass from 12” to 3 ½ lbs and 4 crappie.Most of the fish were from 2 to 2 ½ lbs

12 of the fish were caught in the lower end using a wacky or tx rig and the others on the opposite side of the dock in the upper area.Nothing around the dam and it was too windy to fish the upper end on the dock side of the lake.All but two bass came on a watermelon seed color plastic

Two of the crappie were on a 4” watermelon seed yum dinger and the other two on an olive woolly bugger. I took the crappie home and none had milt nor roe.
