Member Scott Balch and I fished Frannies on April’s Fool Day. As usual Scott outfished me. He caught one over half the fish, but had me by a good margin on size. My largest was a spawned out lady at 4.5 lbs. Scott had two over 6 lbs. All fish were healthy and put up good fights. Some of the ladies had not spawned, but we couldn't find a really fat one.
Watermelon red fleck was the color of choice with plastics (except for a dark colored Googan craw that Scott brought. Bluegill colors were the go to with the chatterbaits.
Fish came from all over the lake. Brush piles were good in the main lake. The timber standing in the shallows at the east end of the lake provided several good fish as well.
It’s a pretty lake with good numbers and size. The owner has obviously spent a lot on the road into the lake and has a fantastic dock and great concrete boat ramp. Go fish it if i go out haven't already. You will not be disappointed!
