Reservation Number : 31490
Property Name : Frannies Lake
Reservation Date : 03/27/2022 All Day -
Total Fish/Sizes : 60+
Lures Used : Chatterbaits, Stick Baits

Fishing was great with over 60 fish caught including 10 fish over 4 pounds. Biggest fish was caught by my 12 year old daughter who set a new PB at 8 pounds on a chatter. She was ecstatic to say the least and I was just happy to be there. Fish were shallow, moving to spawn and feeding aggressively. Most were caught on chatter baits with some on stick baits and swim baits. Love this property. Thanks to PWF and the owner for making Madison’s PB possible.

Brian-

I am fishing Frannies on Sat. What color chatter baits and swim baits were best. Any particular place on the lake we should concentrate on?

Thanks,

I fished there 10 days ago and found fish throughout the lake. We focused on main lake points and entrqnces to creeks and bays where we suspectsed they would be staging to spawn. But, honestely, they were everywhere. We caught them in 10+ feet of water and also 10 inches of water. My advice would be to start in the shallows and work to deeper water if you aren’t finding them. That’s not really helpful but just know the lake is loaded with fish. Enjoy the place. It’s a great property.

Hi Charles,

We fished a few different colors and caught fish but the most success was on shad colored chatters/trailers.  We saw several dead shad floating and fish working the shad so you could see that was a good choice, As to location, I marked up the map on the spots where we caught most of the fish and labeled them in most productive order. Biggest fish caught in #1 area and second biggest in #2.  #3 had some fish but a bit smaller and a couple culls there.  We also saw a good size female on a bed in #1 just to the right of the downed tree before the small island. Hope this helps and best of luck.  Looking forward to your report.

Best,

Brian

Area #2 has been the best producer of quality fish.
