Got the the lake around 12:30pm and fished from the bank till a little after 5pm.  Bluebird skies with just a small breeze from the South and temps in the mid 70’s.  I started with the middle lake where the water was probably mid to upper 50’s, stained with visibility around 2 feet.  The water was 3-4 feet low like most small lakes these days, and there was a green grass line (submerged) 8 – 10 feet or so from the bank.  I started fishing the corner from the pier toward the dam with a green pumpkin chatterbait and after about 10 minutes I caught the largest of the day.  She was 5.25lbs and extremely chunky.  I eventually switched over to a red craw colored SK Red Eyed Shad lipless and caught a 2.75lber in that same corner.  I worked my way around the dam and around 1/3 of the way on the other side trying a variety of lures, but no other bites.  I eventually made my way back to the pier and caught the 3rd fish in that same area with the green pumpkin chatterbait.

I went to try the upper lake but found the water very murky with less than a foot of visibility and no green grass.  Looks like the cows had kept it churned up, so I didn’t fish it too long.  I went to the lower lake, but found no green grass and most of the lake that was accessible from the bank was extreemly shallow.  I gave it 20 minutes or so and then headed back to the middle lake, but got no more bites.
