Timber Lake has always backed up to the Hagerman Reserve, so usually my winters are punctuated by the sounds of hundred of geese.  That property changed hands and the goose population has changed.  I only saw one flight of two dozen snow geese, just before sundown.  

The lake is 3-4 feet low, but the water is clear.  The warm weather has produced some fresh green weed growth, but the water is definitely at winter temps.  Fish were lethargic.  Caught one larger fish and it was thinner, with the hump back.  Just shy of 21”, the mouth was very large.
