I haven’t been fishing in over a year. Life happens! I’m not much of a fall fisherman. I’m more comfortable in the spring fishing with worms and lizards in the weeds. Now that it cooled down I thought I would give it a try. What a great day! I didn’t catch a lot of fish, but the two I caught were 5 lbs. each. I caught one on a crayfish colored square bill crank bait and the other on a red shad senko. I threw spinner baits and crank baits all over the lake with no luck. I caught the two about 30 – 50 feet off shore. Both fish were skinny. I bleive they would have weighed more at other times of the year. It was a good start, but I still have a lot to learn about fishing in the fall.

Fall fishing can be the best and worst the year has to offer.
