Reservation Date : 10/01/2021 PM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 72 Bass 3/4 to 3.5 pounds
Lures Used : 1/2 the fish were caught on Texas Rig (Morning Dawn Color), about 25 on Rat-L-Trap and the rest on Spinner Bait

2 Dudes

2 Kayaks

72 Bass (1:30 to 6:30)

Awesome time at this little lake. Got in the water right at 1:30. Morning Rain had given way to partly sunny skies and warmer temps. Water temp was 78 degrees.

We started with Texas rigs and each caught a fish in the 1st 3 casts. We started moving in opposite directions around the lake, catching fish every few casts. We met up on the opposite side of the lake from the launch zone about 4:00 with close to 40 fish total. Tied on a couple of Rat-L-Traps and cast up into the shallow end of the lake as far as possible. Had a blast hooking fish as soon as the lure hit the water. Caught about 25 and lost at least ½ that many. These fish are jumpers and were putting on a show. Amazing how they can spit out treble hooks. Finished the day off with a few spinner bait fish for 72 total.

Only 2 to culls. The fish in this lake are interesting. Many we caught have a 4 pound mouth with a 2 pound body. Possibly too many Bass for the size of the lake.

Shane,

What a great report. This is what we found in the electrofish survey. The first few reports didn’t prove what we saw and what you caught. So, we are excited to see someone hammer them!
