The bass at salt lick are all fat and healthy. The top lure of the day was the crank bait. The key was covering water and trolling to find the fish. The lake is deep and the fish move around a lot. Worked the grass line hard but only managed to find a few fish in the grass no top water action in the morning. Caught a couple with the swim jig and wacky rig senko but most fish were caught on the bluegill pattern crank baits. There are some trees on the east bank that provide some good cover from the wind so it was easier to stay in place on the water. Most fish were caught along the wester shore with the crank baits.
