We fished Kickapoo on Saturday from approx. 6:30 to 2:30 under varying weather conditions. Calm to fairly calm to windy during a brief squall. Water was 83F, clear to ~3ft viz. Lake is full and vegetation is significant and mostly submerged. We landed 18 bass up to 5 lbs (6 harvested, 12 returned) and one 1.75lb crappie. Of those returned there were 6 in the 2.00 to 3.25 range and the one at 5.0lbs that fell for a belly weighted paddletail in sun gill color. Landed a few on a hollow body frog and several on t-rig curly tail worms worked fairly aggressively through the heavy stuff and out on the edge of the grass. Quality is definitely on the rise at Kickapoo and the lake is very scenic and super healthy. Blessed day!
