Phil & I arrived at Post Oak@7:30 AM. Launched Phil's tracker boat & my Hobie kayak. Water was 78 degrees with 2 foot visibility & quite a bit of vegetation. Past trips have produced a good number of sizable bass but this time it would be a cull session. We caught 48 bass & all were under 14 inches but 2. A three (3) pound 12 ounce bass and I caught one quite large that did a quick release before getting to weigh it. We threw Senkos, Carolina rigs and Top Waters but Senko’s produced the best results. We spent a lot of time cleaning algae and vegatation off of everthing we threw. The deeper water did not produce. We fished hard all the way up to 4:30 PM. The bite pretty much shut down to non existent after 4 PM. We loaded up & were in route back home around 5:30 PM. The weather was sunny with light winds. A super great day to be on a PWF lake for sure. I think this is my shortest post ever.
