PWF member John Herrington and I arrived to cloudy skies and a chilly wind out of the NW at 15 – 20mph.  Water temp at 70 – 72 degrees.  Lake received lots of rain the night before.  The rain had pushed most of the heavy surface vegetation to the edges on the south side of the lake, making it more accessible and fishable.  Fished the lake clockwise picking up fish both on topwater and soft plastics along the weed edges.  Frog bite was relatively slow only generating a few strikes but we didn’t stick with it long as soft plastics and crankbaits were producing.  Lot of healthy bass and strong fighters although we never got on any of size.  Fun day on the water!
