Fished the afternoon of 4/19/21. The morning temp was 39 degrees and the afternoon forcast was from 61 to 71 degrees with light winds so I went for the afternoon session. I have been to this property before but never to the third lake. The owner had told me on a past trip that this lake was a little larger than the first lake and prior reports talked of the large quanity of bass in this lake.So my plan was to start in the third lake and then move over to the main lake later in the afternoon.
This lake was so pretty and secluded and full of fish I never left. The lake is full and clear. The path/road to the lake was in good shape in spite of the heavy rains they had recently.Caught 90 bass between 10” and 15” and removed 40 of those. The majority of the smaller fish were 11” to 13” and a lot of fun to catch. Everything worked ryincluding the fly rod that picked up 24 of the total.I did NOT try any top water plugs and poppers.
