Arrived at 7am with overcast skies, gusty winds and likely rain. Bank fished for 2 hours and then launched boat when rain probability decreased.  Caught only one 2 pound bass on whopper popper with slow activity. Around 10am in boat strike activity increased with white popper and landed 2 bass in 2.5-3# range. A bit more action around 1pm with jigging watermelon worm. Largest fish 3.5 #’s between 1.30-2pm on Megabass OneTenJr minnow which I used for first time. Rain clouds appeared around 2.30pm and I called it a day.  Despite an overcast day an enjoyable experience.
