Fished Timber Lake Thursday 4/8, beautiful calm morning, no wind, mirror finish on the water. We started at 7am along the dam, no action at all, nothing busting on the surface, beautiful but strange. Finally about 9:30 we got a light breeze and a ripple on the water. Caught the 3 lb in the arm past the metal roof building, it was right up against a tree and bearly felt a bump, then it wrapped me up and all I could do was wait for it to untangle. My partner lost one the same way, wrapped up in submerged stumps. The 4 lb came off the dam after the wind had time to blow for a while. Beautiful fish, still carrying eggs. The snot moss is there but only about 3-4 ft off the banks. Water clarity is about 15 inches, there are weeds growing out in deeper water. I had read the past reports and was ready with various offering and sizes to no avail. Both fish had a golden hue to their undersides, make for a pretty fish. I guess I’d rather catch 2 quality fish than 7 little bank runners.
Tight lines my friends, see ya on the water
