Very sunny day with variable light winds shifting all day.  The Alweld Jon boat was most excellent providing great stability.  We fished from 1pm to 6:30 with steady bite all day.  Best fishing was outside edges of weed beds.  Most weed beds extending about 30 feet from shore with tops just under the surface.  Even got to sight cast to bass in clear pockets.  No signs of active bedding.
