The lake was definitely down 3-4 ft or so which made it difficult to fish the shallow north side in the 17 ft boat. There was no water clarity as it looked like chocolate milk. The winds caught both shorelines in the middle and upper but we made the best of it. I caught most (15 or so bass) fish on bright and shiny baits mainly slow rolling a large spinnerbait. A few were in the 4s but the rest were small. The crappie weighed 2.9# which was my biggest ever. Making the trek with the 17 footer was slow bottoming out a couple of times but eventually passable Lol. You may not want to try an 18 footer with a truck haha. We had a mid size SUV. The problem with a larger fiberglass boat was launching it with the water down. Anyhow, the second time out was not as productive but I will be back!
