Started throwing from the the bank and quickly moved to my kayak. Caught 7 LMB ranging in size from 8-15”. No real pattern and caught fish eveywhere but the usually reliable island. Best bite came between noon and 2pm and then nada till sunset. Threw a wide range of lures with no real pattern established. Caught two on a football jig with a small craw trailer, two on a wacky presentation, one on a lipless crank, one on a drop shot and the smallest bass went after a bull shad.

Tank full, water clarity 12-18”, and water temp 51F. Some subaqueous grass is present in spite of the water clarity.

Noted that the club Pelican Bass Raider appears to be in good shape (ready to use and positioned on the east bank of the tank by the point near the island), with three oars available, but no seats.

Wow, water temp at 51F is colder than I thought for Brenham this time of year. Would have guessed 5 degrees warmer. But, at least you caught a few.
