We got out there around 4-5 pm but the heat was unbearable.  We left for a little bit and came back around 7 or so to fish. Fishing was way more tolerable in the evening. The aluminum boat was great to use. Wife and daughter were able to get a few bites and had fun. Most of the fish were chunky and were caught shallow and deep in the grass. I had lost a couple of 4-5 pounders and my wife had one broke her off right at the boat. Grassy pond but the boat allowed us to catch fish. Happy 4th to all!
