Due to logistical problems I did not start fishing until 12:30(I left my trolling motor batteries at home). When I returned with batteries I threw a white Horny Toad off the boat ramp and caught a 3 pounder on first cast. Weightless wacky green pumpkin Senko worked well around lily pads. Caught 2 on Kalin 5" green pumpkin Lunker grub.  Watermelon Pit Boss Texas rigged produced 2 around timber. Thunderstorms kept popping up with heavy brief rain. I had to wait them out in the car until safe to fish. I would fish 30 minutes then another pop up storm. On the third storm decided to load up and go home at 3:30. All the fish were healthy hard fighting 2 to 3 pounders. Happy with the numbers considering how little time I actually spent fishing.
