New member and first reservation, so that being said we had didn't know what to expect except having a great time away from the city.  Easy drive from Dallas, beautiful ranch, and amazing setting.  Drove up on 2 huge deer, got out of the car, and hit the top about 7 am.  Caught 2 immediately on whopper plopper and nothing on the subsequent casts so we loaded up the boat and headed out.

Fish were not very aggressive all day.  Social distancing or Covid maybe making them passive aggressive, who knows, but we did end up with about 20 LMB on the day, which was a good day for us.  Landed the first 2 as I mentioned, last 2 and probably our biggest was with Whopper Plopper at the end of the day around 7:30 pm, but even these 2 didn't really hit it (1 caught while I left my plopper in the water while messing with the motor, probably sat there for 2 mins with no action).  Everything in between was on TX Rig senko (watermelon and black with red speck) and my son's favorite, bubble gum worm.  We caught about 10 dinks, 5 between 1-2 lbs, and 5 between 2-3 pounds.

I will say the wind got up on us and we didn't try really hard to up our numbers.  Spent a lot of time anchored and trying random things to see if anything was working better.  Tried jigs, traps, cranks, spinners, frogs, poppers, spooks, and nothing worked for us except what I mentioned before.  Most everything was caught between 10-20 feet from the bank, except the last 2 on plopper were caught a ways out from the damn.

Great lake, great setting, and will be back for sure.
