Fished Decatur Waterboo Lake on Saturday, 2-15-20.  However, rain and a cold front had come in on Thursday, Friday was a "Blue-Bird" day and even with clouds in the sky…..a yucky day for fishing. 

I took a guest and his 5 year old son to try to catch a bunch of pop-corn bass but, only caught 1 (13") bass the whole afternoon…..the fish were SHUT Down!  Hit on a chartruce chater bait.  Even with the rain 3 days before, the Creek was crystal clear and the pond stained only a little. 

NOTE.....this pond is NOT in Decatur.  We were talking and drove towards Decatur via 114…..only when we were getting close to Decatur and looking specifically at the directions, we realized we were not even close to the ranch….ugh!  (It is close to "Slidell".  Just FYI.)

My young guest was happy that he could bring the bass home to cook…..so, that was good.
