We woke up to rain and an unfavorable forecast. Oh well, lets go fishing. Arrived at the lake just light enough to see and started the day looking for a DWE big one. We quickly got hammered by the heavy band of showers moving through. We fished in the pouring rain since there was no thunder and lightning. Not what we were hoping for but after a few hours of rain the system passed and it became an awesomely beautiful day! We ended up with 28 fish of which we returned 8 back into those waters that were over 16 inches. Biggest was 4 poundish and it was a fat happy female. I think a week of warm weather will have the sows on beds and it will be the place to be if you are looking to win the BIG BASS CONTEST..........water temp is still a bit cold. "Patients Grasshopper" is what is going through my mind. We'll be back. Thanks to Steve, Keri & Cole for adding new lakes to the club, it is going to be a great year for catching slimy green critters!
