Fished Thursday, August 23 from 6:30 to 12:00. Launching was a little muddy due to lower water level. Air temp was 72 and water temp was 86. A couple of nibbles in first three hours but nothing in the boat throwing a frog, sprinkler frog, dragonfly topwater lure, underspin and green pumpkin worm. Switched colors on worm to blue/black and caught two 3 ½ ponders, and they kept getting bigger a 4.3, 4.6 and at 11:30 a 6.3, total of 21.6. Saw a coyote loping across the pasture mid-morning.

Encouraging to read your good report, Chris. I sometimes stay with the same color or lure too long. You turned the corner on your morning by changing things up. Good reminder not to rely too heavily on what has worked before. Any pattern as to location (shallow, deep, etc.)?

They we're around 8 feet of water with some relating to structure, down tree or brushes in middle part of lake - none by dam or pads.
