Bob Scheidemann and I fished Melody Acres for the first time on the 24th.  It is a very nice property with good amenities (the boats have seats with backs!!!), beautiful tea-colored water, and gracious owners.  Isauro met us as we entered about 7 AM and gave us a good orientation.  We were soon off on the water to catch bass.  The bass really didn't want to cooperate and we spent much more time seeking than finding with long periods between bites.  We fished from 7:30 to 3:00 with a leisurely lunch break and landed about 15.  Almost every bass in the morning was harvested (8-12") and most were caught on finesse or stick worms rigged weightless wacky or dropshot wacky.  Man y were caught on the old submerged dam. The bass that bit were all shallow, in less than 4 feet of water. We only caught one on a moving bait. We caught fewer but larger bass after lunch (all on plastics) with the last one at about 4.5#.

Even though we didn't catch much in the way of numbers or size on this trip, we'll be back to this nice property.
