My son and I traveled to the beautiful Hidden Springs Ranch. We arrived on Friday about 3:00 and raining pretty hard. I didn't bring my rain gear so I was more hesitant than Michael who was already dressed in raingear. We started along the dam throwing a weedless Senko and it wasn't long til we started getting bit. Mostly dinks but that's part of the process. The rain let's up about 5:30 and michael wastes no time dragging a 5.26 lb fish into the boat. Easily the biggest fish of the day.  I threw a bone colored Whopper Plopper and caught a few. Ended the day catching 37 with 29 culls.   The next morning Michael tied on a yellow magic and went to work  catching 6 or 7 before that slacked off and the Senko picked up. Grass lines and points were the place to be. We tried jigs and Texas rigged creature baits all over the big brush pile with zero success. Michael again caught the biggest fish on Saturday with a 5.44 lber.  Mr Phillip I read your post several times and I tried the Cheetos. I tried big ones. I tried Lil ones. I tried weedless and wacky. But the color of this trip was purple. Crazy how that works. We ended the trip at dark on Saturday with 84 total fish. 68 culls and one suicidal white perch that couldn't resist the purple Senko. We will be back as soon as possible!

Senko de Mayo. Love it. Can only be used one day a year. Thanks for the harvest. The lake has been putting out some nice fish the past couple of years. Keep up the harvest.
