My brother and I fished here Saturday April 21 from 7:30am until around 4:30pm, with a couple of hours break for lunch.  Cool and drizzly in the morning. Caught 109 total, culling 62. Biggest was 2lb15oz.  We had success with cranks, tubes, lizards and some luck with top water.

The bass didn't look that good.  We caught a few that were emaciated. Any cause for concern?

For those who haven't fished here, it is a beautiful Texas hill country lake and fun to fish.

Eric. Great job culling that many. I agree that it is a great location.

Eric,

Thanks for posting.

Yes, the fish are thin at Medina. The previous owner was against us culling fish. However, the new ownership is now on board with us harvesting the small bass. Through aggressive harvest we can increase the relative weights of the fish. We have a goal to remove over 1600 fish in 2018. So far we have removed a few hundred. We have a long way to go, but thank you for doing your part. Please, Please harvest when we ask and please don't harvest when we ask.

Thanks

Steve
