My daughter be I fished Bennett Lake on March 21.  Got to the lake at around 8:00 am to 38 degree temp but no wind.  Warmed up to high 60’s by the time we left at noon.  Fog coming up from lake and glassy water made for beautiful sight.  Caught total of 20 and culled 6.  Six were good size crappie, most close to a pound.  I caught 15 and my daughter caught five, but she caught to biggest at close to 5 lb.  Rest of bass were all 2-4 lb and fighters.  All fish caught on soft plastics or beetle spins.  No hits on top-water or crank baits.  Caught fish mostly in cove area near submerged docks and cove on opposite side.   Nothing near dam or in shallow end.  Lost one big one that was 6+ that jumped out of water and spit hook out.  Could have sworn I heard laughter!

Great day on the water.
