I'm talking about the boat although bumping a stump with a bait would be good too. This lake is a bit treacherous in that regard. The owner also has tied cedar trees to many of the big stumps in the lake for even more cover. There is plenty to throw at for sure. We hit a great day weather wise. Windy & cloudy. No problem catching fish most of the time. We had success on Yellow Magic, Whopper Plopper and spinnerbait early. We then caught many of our fish on rattletraps. Chartreuse craw worked well. If you go, do get a purple type trap. The owner told us there are talapia stocked in the lake. My partner pulled out a talapia colored trap after lunch and did real well on it. Now the owner told us also that to catch a big fish we needed to slow down and fish deep with plastics. We did this right during the middle of the solunar period and caught two, but still no big ones. Hard to stay with that when it wasn't producing that well. We went back to the shallows and caught some more on moving baits and ended the day slowing down and fishing deep again with no success fishing deep. Overall a great day for numbers. We figured we boated 29 fish and had a few more jump off. 22 of the fish were below 16" although most all were over 13". Maybe 3 below 13" all day. Had seven over 16" with the biggest weighing just over 3 1/2 pounds. Per the desciption a very nice property. Boat is already in the water when you arrive.
