Fished Friday morning, on the lake at 6:00 thinking about top water bite and rolling a frog over the pads early. Very little topwater action, a 3 lber on buzzbait but no action on pads. After an hour or so switched gears to spinner and underspin - no action. Switched gears again to worm and picked up a nice 5 lber near pads and a 1 lber near grass edge. Tried punching the mats later in the morning and caught a 4 lber - my first punching mats.  So a 5, 4, 3 and 1, almost a straight.  Fun morning on the water trying some new techniques.
